How Do I Activate My StarID

To activate your StarID:

  1. Go to the StarID activation site.

  2. Choose "Activate StarID and follow the instructions on the page.

    1. If you have a social security number on file at Minnesota West Community & Technical College, you will need to select TechID (Student ID) and follow instructions.

    2. If you do not have a social security number on file at Minnesota West, you need to select Verification Code and follow instructions.


*Note: Some versions of Internet Explorer are not compatible with the activation site. It may be necessary to switch to compatibility mode or use a browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome.
